West Papua BPJS Employment Donates 5000 Masks

Manokwari Regency Health Insurance Administration Agency (BPJS) hands 5,000 pieces of mask to the West Papua Covid-19 Task Force which will then be handed over to local residents.

The aid was handed over symbolically by the Head of West Papua BPJS Employment, Minje Wattu to the Governor of West Papua and continued to the Chairperson of the West Papua Province Covid-19 Task Force, Derek Ampnier, at the West Papua Governor's Office, Thursday 4 June 2020.

The Governor of West Papua, Dominggus Mandacan is grateful with the help of masks from West Papua BPJS Employment who have cared for the local residents.

"This mask is made in Manokwari from cloth and can be washed and then used again. Once again I say thank you to Manokwari BPJS Employment, "said Dominggus.

Meanwhile, West Papua BPJS Manpower Chief Minje Wattu said other mask assistance had been distributed through BPJS Employment in several districts including Raja Ampat Regency, Sorong Regency, Sorong City, and Manokwari.

"There will be a mask for Fakfak Regency and other districts that are included in the Covid-19 red zone," he said.

On that occasion, Mintje explained that the fabric mask was sewn by a local tailor, thus simultaneously empowering MSMEs in Manokwari.
