Indigenous Papuans Return to Being Victims of the KKB Abominations

Armed criminal groups (KKB) are back in action and are spreading terror in Papua. This time, the victim was a Intan Jaya farmer who was shot and mutilated.

The victim is known to be a native Papuan named Yunus Sani (40). The victim suffered 8 gunshot wounds, and was lying on the road on Friday, May 29, 2020, in Megataga Village, Wandai District, Intan Jaya.

Head of Information for Kodam XVII / Cenderawasih, Col. Cpl Eko Dariyanto delivered one week after killing a humanitarian officer from Papua, Ale Melik Bogau, the OPM group persecuted employees of the Intan Jaya District Health Office, Heniko Somau, when he was carrying medicine for residents recently.

Terror and killings continued again, KKB brutally and viciously shot and mutilated a native Papuan named Yunus in Megataga Village, Wandai District, Intan Jaya Regency.

"The information was obtained from Mr. Niko Wakey, a priest of the Mbegulo Church," said Eko, in his statement, Monday, June 1, 2020.

Eko explained that this incident began when Niko Wakey was taking her child from Enarotali. However, when he returned to Kampung Mbegulo in the middle of his trip in Kampung Megataga, the Wandai District sounded more or less shots eight times.

After the gunfire stopped, Niko Wakey saw OPM come down from Magataga Village. The troubling group approached him.

"When approaching me (Mr. Niko Wakey) the KKSB or OPM said that they had killed Yunus Sani," he said.

Furthermore, after the OPM left, Niko Wakey approached the victim Yunus (40) who had been wrapped in a sack by the OPM.

For this incident, Kapendam XVII / Cenderawasih, Eko Daryanto said the KKB seemed to spread the virus that claimed the lives of indigenous Papuans who were on the Earth of Paradise.

"This is very barbaric, not true. Whatever their reasons, the shooting and mutilation of civilians in Papua is not justified, "said Eko.
