The PUPR Ministry built 45 special houses for members of the Army in Manowari District

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Housing built 45 special houses for members of the Indonesian Armed Forces (AD) Kasuari XVIII Kodam in Manowari District, West Papua. The budget we prepared for the construction of 45 special houses was Rp4.88 billion.

"The specific house specifications that we built for members of the TNI at the Kasuari XVIII Kodam are 45 units of type 36," said the Head of the Specific Non Vertical Work Unit (SNVT) for the Provision of West Papua Province Housing, Phiter Pakabu,

Phiter said the technical specifications for special house assistance in the 761 Infantry Battalion with the concept of growing houses, developed from type 36 to type 45 (1: 2: 1 coupling), according to TNI official housing standards.

Based on SNVT data on the Provision of Housing in West Papua Province, special housing assistance for the Army in the Kasuari Kodam XVIII West Papua Province is in two locations. A total of 20 units are in Ullong Village, for TNI members serving in the Arfak Mountains District Military Command. Then as many as 25 units were built in the 761 Kibibor Akinting Infantry Battalion in Warmare, Warmare District, Manokwari Regency.

"The budget we have prepared for the construction of 45 special houses is Rp4.88 billion," said Phiter.

Commander of Kasuari XVIII Kodam Lt. Gen. Joppye Onesimus Wayjauh expressed his gratitude to the Minister of PUPR, for meeting the housing needs of TNI soldiers serving in the West Papua region.

"We hope that in the future the government will be able to meet the needs for decent housing in the form of flats and footprints for TNI soldiers in the XVII Kasuari Kodam area. We are ready to provide locations or land for housing development," Joppye said.
