Starting April 27, Manokwari will no longer recommend travel documents except logistics

Manokwari District Secretary, Algebra Makatita said, starting Monday, April 27, 2020, Manokwari Covid-19 Task Force, will no longer provide travel recommendation letters to the Bintuni Bay Regency, Sorong City, Sorong Raya Regency and Teluk Wondama Regency or the people who want to return to Manokwari and who will leave the area.

The reason, said Makatita, was to pay attention to the statement of West Papua Governor Dominggus Madacan, regarding the extension of the third non-natural disaster pandemic Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) emergency response in West Papua Province on April 22, 2020.

"Also Manokwari Regent's decision No. 369/170 / IV / 2020 dated April 17, 2020 regarding the status of disaster emergency response in Manokwari Regency, as well as seeing the development of the number of positive patient cases of Covid-19 increasing in Sorong Raya and Manokwari Raya," Makatita explained in a broadcast the press Sunday night, April 26, 2020.

For this reason, said Makatita, the Manokwari Covid-12 Task Force, will only serve recommendations for logistical senders conducted by Bulog and Pertamina or BBM distribution agents.

"In addition, Covid-19 Manokwari Task Force does not provide recommendations to transportation on the grounds of selling vegetables and kiosk materials to the city of Sorong or Sorong Raya Regency, and to Manokwari Raya (Bintuni Bay and Wondama Bay) except for staples by the Distributor," he explained.
