Papuan students in Medan get basic needs assistance from the police

Medan Baru Police Station provided social assistance in the form of basic food to the Papuan Student Association (IMP) Secretariat in Medan and three orphanages in the institution's jurisdiction during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Medan Baru Police Chief, Commissioner Martuasah Tobing said, the purpose of this activity was to help residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, so that the community felt the presence of the country amid economic difficulties.

He hopes that basic food assistance can ease the burden on Papuan students and children in orphanages, and can maintain food security in the community.

"The assistance can also increase good relations with the community so that the situation and conditions in the jurisdiction of Medan Polrestabes, especially Medan Baru Sector Police, remain conducive," he said in Medan, Friday (4/24/2020).

Meanwhile, the Bansos in the form of basic food was distributed to the three orphanages, namely the Ade Irma Suryani Orphanage on Jalan Cik Ditiro Medan, namely 25 sacks of rice @ 5kg, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodles and biscuits, the Orphanage Building for Islamic Education in Indonesia Jamin Ginting Medan, which is 25 sacks of rice @ 5kg, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodles and biscuits.

Sendoro Orphanage Medan Space Road, namely 25 sacks of rice @ 5kg, and the Papua Student Association (IMP) on Jalan Dr. Mansyur Medan, namely 70 sacks of rice @ 5kg, cooking oil, eggs, instant noodles, and biscuits.
