The Head of the Papua Provincial Health Service, Dr. Robby Kayame said, the Papua Provincial Government will provide airplanes to transport medical personnel who will check Covid-19 patients in various regions. This was stated by Kayame in Jayapura, Wednesday (4/29/2020).

Kayame said the provision of aircraft for medical personnel was the policy of Papua Governor Luke Enembe. The step was taken to overcome the transportation constraints that occur during the implementation of the ban on passenger aircraft in Papua.

"Governor Luke Enembe has prepared the plane. Today we have a meeting, we form a team, to go down to 29 districts / cities, "said Kayame.

With the special aircraft for medical personnel, the medical team can move quickly to help the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in Papua. "So, we formed a team, this week we will have moved. Our medical team will fight against Covid-19, "Kayame said.

According to him, the aircraft for the medical team will be stationed in several areas. "We want one group to Biak, one group to Timika, one group to Nabire, one group to Merauke. So there are several groups, we share the medical team. The aircraft used was Jayasi aircraft, while there were 20 doctors, 10 epidemiologists and nurses. We will share everything, "said Kayame.
